The Democracy Centre Vienna (Demokratiezentrum Wien) would like to invite you to a training workshop for History and Political Education practitioners. The workshop will give tools to address participation with students. It will be led with participative approaches and it will be a space for self-reflection of one’s teaching practices, for learning from each another and from the latest research developments on the topic of participation in schools.
The event will focus on two topics:
- Deliberative democracy: controversies in classroom discussions
- Role plays and simulations. The case of Mini-Publics
Food and drinks will be provided. Possibility of babysitting for kids (2yo+) if there is enough demand.
